The main idea: Intermittent fasting means you only eat a short period of time.
There are more ways of intermittent fasting, not only the 16-8 hours method that I talked about before. We are all different so you should read this post and decide what style fits you better, if it doens`t work, you can always come back here, read again and try other method.
Intermittent fasting Methods:
- The 16/8 hours: Fast 16 hours each day
This means that you have to fast ( you can`t eat or drink anything except water) for 16 days each day. So you can only eat for 8 hours daily, the good point is that you chose your interval for eating ( no, you can`t split the 8 hours).
I fast from 8 pm to 1 pm ( I sleep from 10 pm to 7 am , so it`s not so hard) and I eat between 1 pm and 8 pm.
- The 5:2 diet
You eat between 500 and 600 calories a day for 2 days per week and 1200 or more the others days.
This might be a little bit harder to start, but there are only 2 days of dieting per week!!! You have to try this one.
- 24 H fast day
This is really hard! But nothing is impossible. You have to fast from dinner to dinner, which means you basically eat nothing from 7 pm today until 7 pm tomorrow.
- Alternate day fasting
This must be the hardest, you have to eat a day and fast the other day, and so on until you hit your weight loss goal. The problem is that you will probably binge the day you can eat . That`s why I don`t follow this one and I am pretty sure I would be too hungry to do anything.
My favorites are 18-6 hours and 5:2, I find those easier to follow. Tell me in the comments which you like better!
